Local Channels in Every Market

Great news!
Congress has passed The Satellite Television Extension and Localism Act of 2010. This is very important to our customers in Izard county and other areas of North Arkansas that have, until now, been denied the opportunity to receive any kind of local programming from either Dish Network or DirecTV. According to the legislation, subscribers will have the right to receive all four major networks even if they live in an area currently served by only one network.

DISH Network also announced this week that, as of June 3, 2010, every local market in the nation will be available on DISH. According to the announcement, ABC affiliate KAIT in Jonesboro will become available to DISH subscribers at that time. Though we do not know which adjacent market our customers will be offered, or how soon the change can be affected, we do know that they will soon be able to receive all four major networks.

If you have been waiting for the availability of local channels you do not have to wait any longer. I am sure that we will be very busy installing new systems over the next few months so please call one of our stores now to arrange your installation early.

We Still Believe in CHRISTMAS!

In this age of “political correctness” many large retailers and mass merchants are instructing their employees to avoid the use of the word “Christmas”. They have chosen, rather, to say something generic like “Happy Holidays.” While, as Americans we defend their right to ignore the fact that the original purpose for this holiday was to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, we choose to continue to honor our savior by greeting you with a heartfelt “Merry Christmas.”

It is not our intention to disrespect anyone who believes differently than we do, we just want you to know where we stand. And, as you do your Christmas shopping this year, please consider supporting businesses that still celebrate “Christmas.”
